Though feeling guilty for tender my resignation the next working day after I got my bonus (or AWS? I don't really know what does it count as) I've spent the money recklessly. Two days ago I got myself the "trendiest toy of the year 2004" (acclaimed by The Times Magazine) , iPod.
Of course it has been my dream toy for months. I remember I even told myself that I gonna buy it when I got my first month salary. Of course I didn't make that happen. It was just too luxury for a young freshie to get a toy like that with his first month salary. However, this time my dream comes true with the first time ever bonus (or AWS).
My housemate just couldn't understand why I want iPod so desperately. Well I myself can't really give a good explanation. I'm not a music geek or a tech geek. I don't go for trendy fashion or toys. The only moment that I will listen to music is when I am about to sleep and when I'm on the road, whether I'm taking public transport or driving in my car. Certainly driving my mum's little reddish Kancil is painful to me as the radio doesn't work well. On the other hand, carrying a huge CD which at most can carry 100+ songs (my CD player is can play mp3 burnt as data file) just felt nice 2 years ago. But hey, tech advances. And human's greeds is never get filled. When I first got to know a toy named iPod, I started to get crazy about it. I just couldn't resist with idea to carry 2000 songs with me when I'm on the road!!! Oh my......
Well, there're whole lots of other choices out there. And it's cheaper, battery lasts longer, quality is better etc........ Well, if the very first large capacity that I got to know is Creative Zen, probably today I'm here talking about Zen. Hey, I've said I'm not a tech freak. I don't know much about specs or features (despite the fact I'm an engineering graduate and working in IT field). I care about first impression and outlook. I wanna be looked trendy and cool. Zen just couldn't satisfy my needs from that perspective.
Anyway, I still haven't really started playing with the toy. Just found that my old computer couldn't fit with iPod for not having a USB2.0, I just have to wait.......................

i was looking forward a new hp since few months back.. i also had the idea of buying a new hp with 1st month salary.. but the fact is.. after deducting this n that.. pay some loan.. pay some outstanding bill.. i left nothing.. haha.. so i told myself.. i'll get it with my 1st bonus..
finally 31/12 came n i got my 1st ever bonus in my life.. then i go to a hp shop n i like a model beli much.. there's a label beside it "AVAILABLE SOON".. i --___--'"
nevertheless i waited it for nearly two months n finally bought it 2 weeks ago.. although i like it beli much.. still felt bit guilty to buy such ex hp..
